飛,倏忽不見。市人集觀者數百人。   移時,尼徒步手人頭驅衛而返,驢背負木夾函數千金,殊無所苦。入門呼役曰:「來,視汝木夾官封如故乎?」驗之良是。擲人頭地上曰:「視此賊不錯殺卻否?」眾聚觀,果紅■肖頭人也。眾羅拜謝去。   比東歸,再往訪之,庵已■閉,空無人矣。尼高髻盛妝,衣錦綺,行纏羅襪,年十八九,好女子也。市人云:「尼三四年前挾嫗俱來,不知何許人。常有惡少夜入其室,腰斬擲垣外,自是無敢犯者。」   ◎僧三世報   桐城諸生姚東朗,有子三保,生九歲,忽病,三日不食,惟飲水念佛,倏變中州之音,告其父曰:「吾前世河南僧也,與道侶某同居,吾有三十金,彼請貸之,不許。遂中夜劫金及度牒而逃,又殺吾以滅口。吾投君家為君弟,字嵩少。彼亦投君家為女,今嫁溧陽潘氏者是也。彼六七歲時,吾不忍殺。吾年十八,陽祿終矣,故再投君家為君之子。彼今遠嫁,吾不能報,又須轉世報之。君前世為河南縣令,納彼賄不之究,今來君家兩世,二十七年衣食之費,與賄足相抵。吾往溧陽矣。」東朗曰:「冤尚可解乎?」曰:「唯佛力可解。」語畢而逝,乙卯六月事也。東朗往花山求見月律師懺悔,師為禮水懺,且令以三十金供僧,懺罷,而女孕墮胎矣,竟無恙。前一夕,女夢僧登堂而噪,身有火光,久之乃去。蓋師力云。   ◎兩戴逵   《藝文類聚》載戴逵皇太子箴。《廣弘明集》有戴逵與釋慧命書,此戴逵,隋人,非梁隱士戴安道。(二文梅氏採入《隋文紀》。)   ◎貂參   從祖考功公門生孫中丞(元化),天啟中自遼東遷登撫,考功從索貂參。孫答書云:「貂不足,參也魯矣。」人傳以為笑。   ◎甯尚寶   《汝潁集》云,甯尚寶中立,字爾強,萬曆癸未進士。家居不通賓客,闃居一室,人罕窺其戶。或覘之,但見紙幅積座側,上皆作墨點,或環之,累累如貫珠。人曰,甯善羯鼓,記柘杖之節耳。終莫測也。   ◎滄溟見夢   施愚山(閏章)在濟南時,為滄溟先生作墓碑文,且為立後奉祀。一夕夢三丈夫峨冠朱衣來謁,一白髯者南面坐,蒼髯次之,末坐者尤奇偉。旦日拜墓下,則三墓累累相次,問其裔孫云,先生祖父三世葬此。始悟蒼白髯者,先生之祖父也。愚山適將往南山購石,見墓道間有石仆地,磨礱如新,遂刻己文。此事與《研北雜誌》所載嵇侍中謝趙子昂書廟額事正相類。   ◎呂鴻臚   呂少卿(祖望),滄州人,順治壬辰進士。康熙乙巳冬病亟,夢天帝召為東嶽之神,力辭不獲,因訂後期,遂引疾歸里。舟過張家灣,忽沐浴更衣端坐曰:「時日近,吾將去矣。」遂瞑。舟中人隱隱見空中鼓吹,騶從甚盛云。   ◎羅池碑   柳州羅池廟碑「荔子丹兮蕉黃」一石尚存,相傳為蘇文忠公書。估客過柳江者,拓一紙,即無風波之虞。亂後失去,雜入築城磚石中,每當築處,城輒圮。有司知其異,物色出之,今置廟中,南禮部鼎甫(廷鉉)嘗理柳州,為予言。   ◎祁侍郎   明金壇祁西岩侍郎(逢吉),少為諸生,有名。嘗館某氏,適鄉試,東家之子已通關節於主司,臨期忽病。以與祁素厚善,告之,比入場,立就七作,喜甚,自謂必售。及將謄寫,手忽反背,不能握筆,遂納卷太息而出,自謂不復有科第之望矣。下科竟中第,官至戶侍。   ◎西洋畫   西洋所制玻璃等器,多奇巧,曾見其所畫人物,視之初不辨頭目手足,以鏡照之,即眉目宛然姣好。鏡銳而長,如卓筆之形。又畫樓臺宮室,張圖壁上,從十步外視之,重門洞開,層級可數,潭潭如王宮第宅。迫視之,但縱橫數十百畫,如棋局而已。   ◎陳丈人   陳丈人,居彝陵沙地坡,順治初年百有四歲,步履視聽不衰。遠安知縣周惠隆延之,詢其所得,曰:「知事遲,回頭早耳。」予之錢帛,弗受。   ◎起汕丫繫   彝陵風俗,漁人春則起汕,秋則丫繫。每三月初八、十八、廿八三日,相率扣拍,令聲振水面,連歌徹昏曉,必悲愴慷慨,乃獲多魚。惟三游洞以下、十二碚以上數十里內為然,謂之起汕。八月九日捕取鱘鰉,先布網而後用叉,自釘頭鎮以往地皆曰繫,或曰枋。有金釵繫、丫髻繫等名,謂之丫繫。亦如吳淞之起叢也。   ◎白牡丹   高淳縣花山,有白牡丹,歲開數枝,種非人力,亦無琠牷A有折者輒得疾。施侍讀愚山(閏章)詩云:「空山石累累,獨立天風吹。攀條莫敢折,含芳貽阿誰。」   ◎九尾觥   泰興季御史家,有古玉觥,質如截肪,中作盤螭。螭有九尾。作柄處,螭首如血正赤。觥底有竅,與尾通,九尾皆虛空,宛轉相屬,注酒皆滿。人以為鬼工。   ◎月中女子   德州趙進士仲啟(其星),嘗月夜露坐,仰見一女子,妝飾甚麗,如乘鸞鶴,一人持宮扇衛之,逡巡入月而沒。此與予前所記二事相類。羿妻之事,信有之矣。   ◎黃天應   康熙十五年,南海民黃天應,年十四,惟瞽母在堂。從兄天會者,亡賴也,欲並其產,紿天應同往伐竹,椎殺之而瘞其屍。既數月矣,其母思子,日夜泣,忽夜半有叩門者,告之曰:「爾子某月日為天會擊殺,瘞某處,明日可往發之。」開戶則闃無人跡。如其言,果得屍,告之官,實天會於法。   ◎李坤   蔡■典,字玉汝,閩人。以明經仕為粵東令,罷官不歸,流寓山寺。一日於市肆獨飲,忽有道人虯髯偉幹,顧盼甚異,蔡揖之坐,詢其姓名,曰秦人李坤,居華山數十年矣。因延至寺寓,見蔡案上有《周易》曰:「頗讀此乎?」蔡曰:「然。」試舉一卦,蔡為述其師說。曰:「全未全未。」蔡因拜求其學。曰:「可齋戒拜天四十九日,拜老夫亦如之,然後可教。」如其言,乃為剖晰河洛精義,皆出程朱之外。蔡因旁及天文、樂律、奇門、太乙、六壬諸術。曰:「此皆《易》之一端耳。」出一小篋,隨所問刺取諸家之書,為蔡指示。書凡幾百卷,皆出篋中,篋才方寸,而書不窮,竟不能測也。留止五年,盡得其奧。將別去,語蔡曰:「此後二十年癸丑歲,汝必游京師,是歲十二月二十日,即當扃門戶,百日不見一人,否恐不免,慎之慎之。更幾載某歲某日,與汝相見房山。」康熙十二年癸丑,蔡客京師,如其所戒。是時果有妖人楊起龍之變,都門戒嚴,多所刑戮,至二三月始定。又二年乙卯某月日,忽有童子叩門云,師在房山相待。蔡疾馳往,道人獨坐樹下,與語移晷,別去,云將歸華山舊居。蔡以易卜垂簾都門,同年子吳天章(雯)與之游,云學《易》者,率莫測其蘊也。薛廷尉大武(奮生)云。坤,字果成。   ◎騾生子   釋典有三必死:謂人抱病,竹結實,騾懷胎。然康熙某年,旗下人家有騾生子,竟無恙。 *** END OF THE PROJECT GUTENBERG EBOOK 池北偶談 *** Updated editions will replace the previous one—the old editions will be renamed.
